Fluorosint® 207

Fluorosint® 207 is a member of the filled PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) family of polymers and has unmatched dimensional stability in the family of filled fluoropolymers. It has excellent creep resistance and is off-white in color.  These qualities combined with the fact that it is FDA compliant, uniquely positions this material to serve in FDA regulated applications.  Fluorosint® 500 has a higher level of synthetic filler and has a coefficient of thermal expansion that closely matches aluminum.  Both are non-permeable in steam and comply with the FDA’s regulation 21 CFR 175.300.  Their relative wear rate is 1/20 the rate of unfilled PTFE below 300°F (150°C) making Fluorosint® 207 or Fluorosint 500 excellent choices for aggressive service bearings and bushings.
