Poly-Texx® 6OF is an oil filled, cast polyamide (Cast Nylon® Type 6) that is abrasive resistant and self-lubricating. Its main attributes are impact strength, toughness and very low friction. Its natural color is green. Typical applications are bearing and wear applications in the form of sleeve bearings, flanged bearings, thrust washers and wear plates. Poly-Texx® 6OF reduces maintenance by eliminating the need for lubrication, while minimizing galling, and corrosion.

Available in many shapes and sizes; it is easily machined, sawed, milled and turned with conventional metal working equipment. Tolerances of +/-.005 are standard, while tolerances of +/-.002 are achieved with experience.
