Rulon® 142

Rulon® 142  is a specially formulated filled PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) that is blue-green in color and primarily used as a linear way bearing material. When bonded to a matallic substrate, it has exceptional bearing and wear characteristics.  It unique composition allows for high thermal dissipation and good dimesional stability.  Rulon® 142 has excellent mechanical properties and is the ideal materal for machine tool, and bridge expansion joint applications.  Its low deformation under load characteristics limit the amount of misalignment that can occur with other bearing materials. 

Rulon® 142  has many benefits including, the virtual elimination of stick-slip, vibration dampening, self-lubrication, uniform friction and long life.  Its ease of application and design diversity make it an excellent choice for many demanding slide and way bearing applicaitons.
